THREE HOURS
Three hours
of listening
to the stars
will give you
an earful,
the old monk says.

I'VE DONE WHAT
I've done what I've done
and you haven't undone it,
the old monk said,
thanking the mountain.
~
IT WASN'T
It wasn't the lessons
his students needed
that he was teaching --
he was teaching himself,
the old monk.
