THE RAIN

The rain
lets itself go, yes,

How much do you
want to fly,

the wind asked
the old monk.

so let's get

on with it,

coming in you fear,

You carry the water

THE CAR DIDN'T

The car didn't know
it could fly,

the officer.

NOTHING IS

Nothing is
so elemental
as stone,

the old monk said
of the mountain.

YOU DON'T KNOW

You don't know

it's like
learning to read,

OFF, then ON,
the old monk said.

THE DEAL

The deal you need to make
you don't usually

have the heart for,
the old monk said.

SO MANY FLIES

So many flies --
a dozen
wanted to land

a dozen
couldn't,

I'LL NEVER DO

I'll never do that

what love
looks like,

to his bowl
of ice cream.

you don't want to do
