THREE OLD MONK POEMS (63)

YOU CAN MAKE

You can make a deal
with yourself if you think
you're trustworthy,
the old monk said.

~

WHEN YOU HEAR

When you hear it
how do you know it's him,
the old monk asked
his students.

~

IF YOU WALK

If you walk slow
you see more,
the old monk said.

If you stand still
you see everything.
