THREE OLD MONK POEMS (307)

YOU CAN'T

You can't stand
more of it

if you can't
stand,

the old drunk
told the monk.

~

IF THE STARS

If the stars were not so busy,
the old monk said,
I might have got some sleep.

~

YOU DO

You do
the thing
you do,

you can't
NOT
do it,

the old
monk said.
