ANY DAY
Any day
is a good day
for ice cream,
my father said
almost until
the day he died,
the old monk
told them.

IF WISDOM
If wisdom
is wisdom
what is
the wind,
the old monk
asked his
students.
~
IF THERE WAS
If there was
nothing before
how can there be
any after,
the old monk asked
the astronomer
about the Big Bang.
Perhaps God is
everything compressed
to nothing.
