GOSSIP
Gossip
isn't actually
what gossip
is,
the old monk says.
It's emptiness
masquerading
as meaning.

FAILURE
Failure goes
but it doesn't
go far,
the old monk said.

Everything
you promise yourself
is coming,
the old monk says,
but check the bill
of lading.
