HAWK WATCHES 


 Hawk watches.
His patience

 waits. Hunger
is a sharp-

 eyed teacher,
stillness the

 hunter's friend.
When the time

 is right, wind
will lift him,

 the mouse will
say, Sweet death,

 be sudden.
